Why Cellar Door?

Walk into any Cellar and you are welcomed with the sights and smells of food and wine rooted in the traditions of every family home. We welcome you to come through the doors and share ours!

Who is the Chef?

The Chef at Cellar Door is Robert Rubino. Aside from working for some of Canada’s best chefs in both his home town of Toronto and Vancouver, Robert has travelled extensively learning from top chef’s all over the world.

Education: Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY

International Experience:

Il San Domenico in EmiliaRomagna, Italy – under Chef Valentino Marcattilii

Buenos Aires, Argentina – under Chef Martin Arrieta

Southern France – under Chef Edourad Loubet

Paris, France – under Chef Joel Robuchon

What kind of food do you serve?
We serve urban Italian food rooted in tradition, hand-made Pasta dishes and our wood burning oven will showcase seasonal Vegetables, Meat, Fish and rustic Pizzas.

Who is the artist behind the beautiful work on your walls?
Local Photographer and good friend, Mike Palmer. Roam Toronto through a different eye @roamingfocus and travel through uncharted Canadian territory with www.roamingfocus.ca
